President's Letter
Dear SRRC Friends:
Well it's now mid-year and 2011 is half over. I can't believe time has flown by so quickly, and the current market conditions haven't made it nearly as much fun as in the past. However, it is through our relocation industry friends, such as those within the SRRC, that provide support, cooperation and will sustain us during these challenging times to make us better at what we do.
The spring conference in Orlando was truly beneficial, information and an enjoyable meeting. The "Hot Topic" round tables proved as always to be a great source of mutual sharing of beneficial information from our membership. Jean Strickland and Alan Trippel shared data everyone in the relocation industry can utilize in our daily business and personal lives. The interactive closing keynote speaker, Trudy Jean Evans, proved to be most entertaining and had everyone engaged with thunderous laughter. (Click here to read more...)

What's New
Exciting News! As you heard at the Spring Conference, the SRRC has formed the SRRC Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to promoting the purpose of SRRC by highlighting educational opportunities in the relocation industry; and enhancing networking opportunities. The SRRC Foundation will focus its funding on assisting members in times of personal need and providing a pathway to promote the organization by committing to local and regional causes that are significant to the members of SRRC. Mid-year Review
A look back at SRRC's 2011 Spring Conference: "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow, Yesterday's Gone!" And the survey says: 100% of respondents found the conference provided value for the time, expense and involvement.
A great time was had by all! We had nearly 100 in attendance at the Omni Hotel in Orlando. The meeting began with the energetic and dynamic Peggy Smith, Worldwide ERC Chief Executive Officer, focusing on our hope for tomorrow with WERC's initiatives and future direction. Attendees also debated the Lessons Learned from topics surrounding temporary living, mortgage, transportation, real estate, and policy adjustments within both domestic and international relocation. The first evening concluded with dinner, networking with friends, and Lady Natasha, the Psychic Lady, telling our future. How did she know so much! (Click here to read more...)
